About the Position
Summer Production Workers are responsible for performing one-step operations using packaging equipment, as instructed by the Production Supervisor. First-time Production Workers frequently learn simple operations that they then repeat throughout their shift, and often work independently and on their feet- though there may be other team members working on the same job close by.
One-step operations can include inserting fitments into flexible pouches using coller sealers, using straight-line heat sealers to seal two pieces of flexible material together, inserting flexible material into an automated die-cutting machine, and more.
Because our products are made-to-order and require different setups, Summer Production Workers may work on a piece of equipment for several days, then switch to a new job that requires a new skill and different equipment.
Production Workers report to the Production Supervisor and also communicate with the quality department and packaging engineers as needed.
