Artipax

Art & Historic Works Preservation Products

Conservator Ralph Wiegandt’s introduction to Heritage Packaging came through daguerreotype research and preservation. Heritage Packaging engineered a barrier envelope with an air-tight zipper seal as a secondary enclosure for a significant daguerreotype collection. The value of Heritage Packaging’s products and facilities were obvious to Ralph, and Heritage Packaging responded by vesting itself in researching and developing promising solutions for art conservation and cultural property preservation through its new product line, ArtipaxTM.

Conservators know the challenges of sustainability and the ever-mounting costs of achieving environmental modification for large spaces, and that globally, conventional bricks and mortar—HVAC solutions will be increasingly financially un-achievable and environmentally unsustainable in the future.

As a result of the combined efforts of Ralph Wiegandt and Heritage Packaging working together on product development and potential market assessment, we have identified numerous applications that have significant potential to be developed and meet specific needs within the scope of art and historic works preservation.

Precision Pour Pouch

Dual Handled Stand Up Pouch for Controlled Pours.

The lightweight dual handle design of the Precision Pour Pouch allows users to move from bulky rigid liquid containers to convenient flexible containers without having to endure the sometimes messy handling and pouring of traditional flexible stand up pouches.

The Precision Pour Pouch integrated dual handle design not only allows for easy carrying and handling but also precise mess free pours thanks to the leverage that is created by the two handles. This leverage allows the user to maintain a steady pour stream and avoid the messy sporadic stream that can occur from poor air flow. The proven cube shape designs allows this pouch to stand up on its own for optimal shelving and storage placement.

Precision Pour Pouches can be produced from clear materials to allow users to identify the contents of the pouch and how much remains.

Drum Liners

Round Bottom Drum Liners

Companies requiring unquestionable protection from moisture, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and general contamination during the manufacturing process frequently rely upon form fit round bottom drum liners for the storage and shipment of their product(s).

Heritage Packaging utilizes the highest quality raw materials and servo-controlled processing equipment to manufacture form fit drum liners of the highest quality at economical prices. Liners are available in a variety of sizes including standard 55gal drums.

Form fit foil barrier liners offer an impermeable barrier offering ideal protection from oxygen, moisture, grease, UV rays, ESD / EMI, and many other corrosion or contamination causing elements. Aluminum foil lamented materials help maintain product quality due to its low MVTR and OTR properties. Foil Barrier Liners are ideal packaging solutions for critical products such as pharmaceuticals, resigns, chemicals, adhesives, bulk toners, and other moisture sensitive dry products.

Multitudes of flexible materials are available to suit various levels of required protection and include aluminum foil barrier materials or polyethylene anti static and food grade materials. 4 mil polyethylene vapor barrier and 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier fils are available. For increased Moisture Vapor protection Foil Lamination films are recommended. Fitments, valves, and glands are also available for liquid liners.

BLUGUARD VCI by Heritage Packaging

Anti-Corrosion Packaging with VCI Chemistry

Learn more about our industrial and firearm storage products by visiting the Bluguard VCI website.

Bluguard VCI™ products were engineered on a dutiful mission with a scientific objective: Protect metal items from corrosion using proven VCI technology and industry leading barrier materials to make the longest lasting, reusable, and cost-effective products for use in industrial packaging and firearms storage.

The brand exists to give businesses and individuals control over the effects of corrosion within VCI-enriched micro-environments, in the form of laminates, bags, and covers that are manufactured and sold in the USA by Heritage Packaging.

VCI stands for volatile corrosion inhibitor. Corrosion begins when an electrolyte (water, oxygen, or humidity) is present on the surface of metal. When this happens, electrons flow from high-energy areas of the metal to low energy areas in a loop, through an electrolyte. The corrosion process results in the formation of oxidation on the metal surface.

VCI molecules stop this reaction by clinging to the metal surface and inhibiting the current flow from anode to cathode. Electrical current attempts to flow from the anode through the electrolyte into the cathode but is blocked by the VCI molecule.

Desiccants & VCI

Heritage Packaging offers VCI emitters and Desiccants to help enhance the level of protection that our barrier packaging solutions offer.

Desiccants make an excellent compliment to moisture barrier packaging. Desiccant packs are used to prevent corrosion and damage from moisture or water vapor by drawing them away from your critical assets. Wether you are storing or shipping an item, descant packs help to eliminate corrosion, mildew, mold, and other harmful effects of moisture that can form due to changes in the surrounding atmosphere.

Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors also known as VCI or vapor corrosion inhibitors provide additional protection for all metal surfaces (ferrous and nonferrous metals) without leaving any messy residues. VCI packaging also removes the need for the labor intensive and costly application and removal of heavy oils and greases. VCI chemistry also has no negative effects on metal finishes, electronics, or other critical components. When VCI emitters or laminated VCI materials are used in addition to foil barrier layers, anti corrosion protection can last for many years.

Liner Information Sheet

Companies requiring unquestionable protection from moisture, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and general contamination during the manufacturing process frequently rely upon form fit container liners for the storage and shipment of their product(s).

Heritage Packaging utilizes the highest quality raw materials and new, servo-controlled processing equipment to manufacture form fit container liners of the highest quality at economical prices. Foil liners are available in standard Gaylord, IBC, and FIBC sizes. We also possess the ability to produce over-sized liners automatically (form fit container liners can have a foot print of up to 72” x 72” and any height required).

Heritage Packaging specializes in manufacturing a wide variety of Gaylord Liners, Octabin Liners, IBC Liners, and FIBC Liners from proven barrier and non-barrier materials for storage and preservation applications.

Form fit foil barrier liners offer an impermeable barrier offering ideal protection from oxygen, moisture, grease, UV rays, ESD / EMI, and many other corrosion or contamination causing elements.
